Description
An antique 19th-century silver box (835/1000) with a square form and rounded corners. Engraved around the exterior, the front features a shield, and the lid is decorated with filigree and the initials 'B.S.U.'. Marked with minvervakopje and the walking lion, and bearing the maker's mark 'JO44' for Jacobus Johannes Oosterbaan Sr, who worked in Leeuwarden from 1845 to 1859, with the year letter M (1846).
